
Al Batinah Power Signs CSR Agreement to Support School Sports Activities in Adam and Manah

In a strategic move to strengthen public-private partnerships, and in a move that reflects a shared commitment to developing an educational environment aligned with digital transformation, a cooperation agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Education and the companies Al Batinah Power and Al Suwadi Power to support the Cybersecurity Initiative for Schools.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Majid bin Said Al Bahri, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Eng. Saud bin Hamed Al Waili, CEO of Al Batinah Power, and Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Rawahi, CEO of Al Suwadi Power.
The initiative aims to raise awareness and enhance knowledge in the field of cybersecurity among school students, with a special focus on implementing awareness and specialized training programs in this area. Support includes providing schools with the appropriate technological tools and educational materials, enabling students to face the challenges of the digital world with advanced skills.
Eng. Saud Al Waili stated:
“At Al Batinah Power, we believe in the importance of investing in the next generation. Undoubtedly, enhancing students’ cybersecurity skills represents a strategic step toward building a secure digital future for Oman. This agreement reflects our ongoing commitment to social responsibility, and we are pleased to partner with the Ministry of Education on initiatives that enhance students’ capabilities and support the national digital economy.”
He added:
“Al Batinah Power has supported the Student Cybersecurity Competition, which aims to develop students’ skills in cybersecurity through practical and applied challenges. This support reflects our dedication to encouraging creativity and excellence among students, helping prepare them for the digital future.”
This agreement reaffirms the commitment of all three parties to support innovation and strengthen national collaboration in building an informed and capable generation, equipped to face future digital challenges. It also contributes to achieving Oman Vision 2040, which focuses on digital transformation and the development of a knowledge-based, cyber-secure society.
