Launch of the Cybersecurity Initiative for Schools

As part of the national efforts to promote cybersecurity awareness and safe digital practices among students, the Cybersecurity Initiative for Schools was officially launched in collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Al Batinah Power Company, and Al Suwadi Power Company.

The initiative aims to equip students with essential digital safety skills, raise awareness of online threats, and promote positive and responsible technology use. This comes in alignment with Oman Vision 2040, supporting the country’s digital transformation and smart education objectives.

During the launch ceremony, Ms. Arwa Al Alawi Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Officer of Al Batinah Power delivered a speech in which she emphasized the importance of investing in people as the foundation for building the future, and expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s cooperation and commitment to empowering students with digital knowledge and awareness.

The event concluded with words of gratitude to the Ministry of Education for its active partnership and trust, and to all those involved in implementing the initiative. Reaffirming the commitment to supporting educational and technological projects that benefit students and the wider community.
