Mr. Saud Hamed Ahmed Al Waili
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Saud Al Waili holds a Master of Business Administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University and a B.Sc. Honors Degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Caledonian University. He has worked at various Power and Desalination Plants in Oman (Operations and Maintenance), such as Sohar Power and Desalination Plant, Sembcorp Salalah Power and Water Plant, Rusail Power Plant, and Barka 2 Power and Desalination Plant. His total experience is 15 years plus (11 years plus at the managerial level and 4 years plus at Engineer Level).
Mr. Faraz Kothari
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Faraz Kothari is an Associate Member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), holding these qualifications since August 2015 and November 2012, respectively. He also holds a Master’s degree in Economics (2011) and a Bachelor of Commerce degree (2007).
Mr. Faraz brings over 15 years of professional experience, including more than 7 years in the power sector. He began his career at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Pakistan, where he spent five years as a Supervisor in the External Audit Department, managing multiple client engagements across various industries. He then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in Oman, where he spent 3.5 years leading audit engagements across diverse sectors.
In 2019, Mr. Faraz transitioned to the power sector, taking on the role of Financial Controller at Al Suwadi Power Company SAOG and Al Batinah Power Company SAOG, where he served until March 2025. Currently, he serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Al Batinah Power Company SAOG, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy, reporting, and compliance.
Mr. Yousuf Said Abdullah Al Waili
Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Yousuf holds a Master’s in Renewable Energy Engineering from Muscat University and a B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University. He joined Al Batinah Power in April 2018. He has been associated with power generation in operation, maintenance & management in various Power Plants in the sector for more than 19 years, such as Al Kamil Power Plant and Al Rusail Power Plant. Over these last 19 years, Mr Yousuf has gained multi-functional experience in the field of business management, engineering, operations, and maintenance in power plants
